BOZEMAN HOME BUILDER WINS NAHB BEAM AWARD

BOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 28, 2023 —Eugene “Eugen” Graf IV, EG Construction owner and manager, won the Builders Engaging Associate Members Award (BEAM) from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)

The award was presented Jan. 30, 2023, at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.

The NAHB BEAM Award honors a member who exemplifies the motto, “It’s good business to do business with a member.” The award celebrates a member who uses goods and services offered by fellow NAHB members. Local and state home builder associations may nominate one member to be considered for the BEAM Award.

Graf has been a member of the Southwest Montana Home Builders Association since 2004 and strives to work with fellow SWMBIA members as much as possible, particularly on projects he enters for the association’s annual Parade of Homes event.

“Eugen doesn’t select his trade partners and vendors only on the basis of ‘best price,’” said Byron Anderson, Upper Yellowstone Builders Association executive officer. “He looks to establish a long-term relationship. Quality of product, craftsmanship of work and dedication to our local, state and national associations all come into play when he makes his selections.”

Overall, approximately 86% of EG Construction’s trade partners and vendors are NAHB Associate Members.

As a longtime leader at the local, state and national levels, Graf often helps SMHBA members, non-members and elected officials with government regulations, building codes and development issues.

Graf currently serves as the Federal Government Affairs Committee Chairman, Leadership Council Life Delegate and is a member of the Housing Finance Committee.

NAHB Associate Members are the home building industry’s suppliers, service providers and product manufacturers. Associates are a vital component of NAHB, contributing to the association’s mission of protecting the American Dream of housing opportunities for all.
