DEADLINE ENFORCEMENT

Montana law already sets deadlines for local governments to act on subdivision applications, but those deadlines are routinely missed, and there is no real way to enforce them. This bill fixes that. If a local government misses its deadline and still does not act within 10 business days of written notice, the builder can hire a pre-approved, licensed engineer or land surveyor to review the plat under the same rules.
